It’s time to put the mom in momentum and join us in 25 Days of Action leading up to Election Day on November 5! Follow our purpose driven playbook to ensure a better future for our families. You don’t have to do it all—review the actions and commit to the ones that work for you. You can follow along with us on Instagram with Action 1 starting on October 12. Whether it’s reminding other moms to vote at daycare pick up carpool or leaving post-it notes in a women’s bathroom at a soccer game - every effort counts. So let’s move our country forward one action at a time - grab your to-do list and get started!
1: Finalize your voting plan (and share it!)
Before you can focus on getting out the vote for others, let’s make sure your own plan is in place. First, decide how you plan to vote (absentee, in person early or in person election day). Then be a good role model and share it using our template and tag 3 friends to do the same!
2: Refresh your address book & register voters
Do your future self a favor while saving democracy? Yes please! In this action, we want you to get your holiday card mailing list refreshed before your family photos are back and make sure your network is ready to vote while you’re at it. In Wisconsin, you can register at the polls on election day, but you can’t in other states and the last day to register online is October 16 in WI, so make sure folks have a plan to be ready to vote with this task. You can thank us when you get that Black Friday discount on your holiday cards this year! And it’s always election season…so consider putting a reminder to vote on your holiday card this year!
3: Sport your merch & start a convo
One of the easiest ways to get out the vote is show the world your values and voting plan by sporting Motherhood for Good or other candidate or policy themed merch. To be ready for the convos you’re likely strike up, have voting resources like myvote.wi.gov (WI) or iwillvote.com ready on your phone by downloading our QR code image. Folks can walk away from your chat ready to check their voter registration or review their ballot!
4: Support fair maps & funded schools
With Wisconsin's new fair maps, this election is a pivotal moment to balance the state legislature and reflect our values, especially in supporting public education. Years of underfunding and legislative neglect have left public schools struggling, with nearly half of districts relying on referendums this year just to cover essential costs. Over 120 of those referendums are on November ballots. We must vote in support of these school referendums to provide immediate relief and elect candidates committed to reforming education funding for long-term solutions. For this action, share our reel, research your ballot’s referendums so you’re ready to vote and figure out how to get involved. If there is a referendum in your WI school district you want us to highlight, please help update our voting guide for these referendums.
5: Knock, knock, knock
Knocking on doors is one of the most powerful ways to connect with voters and make an impact in this election. Every conversation with a neighbor can inspire someone to vote, change a mind or remind them what’s at stake. It takes just a few hours of time, but when elections in swing states are often decided by 1-2 votes per precinct, those discussions could change the course of our future. You don’t have to go it alone - bring a friend and use the time between doors to catch up and get in some steps!
6: Support Down Ballot with your Dollar
While the spotlight often shines on the top of the ticket and with that the dollars flow that way, real change happens in our communities and supporting down-ballot races is so important, whether for school board, city councils and this year in WI with the state legislature as we finally have FAIR MAPS! Find a candidate and send along a donation - don’t know where to start, we’ve got you covered with our own MFG Oath link which will route your dollars to the most impactful state legislature races. The Oath community does the work to find the races that will maximize the impact of your dollars, and BONUS they don’t sell your info so you can be free of spam texts and emails.
7: Fish Fry-Day Senate Debate Watch Party
On Friday October 18 at 7pm, Senator Tammy Baldwin faces off with Eric Hovde in a televised debate and it’s a perfect reason to throw a debate watch party on a Friday night. Not in WI, check out your local news sources to figure out when there are debates for your Senate, Congressional or other down ballot candidates. Studies have shown that debates can sway as many as 10-20% of undecided voters. Don’t stress about planning - we’ve got you covered with our MFG Political Party Planning Committee’s Guide! Not able to host? No worries! Make sure to tune in and share your hot takes with friends and family, whether over dinner or in the online public square (aka your social media accounts)!
8: #OctoberVoter Family Voting Day
Kamala Harris becoming the first woman President is historic, and many of us want to vote in person, especially if you're planning to bring your daughter(s). But busy schedules, Election Day lines, and last-minute issues could stop you from making it to the polls on November 5th. That’s why we want you to be an #OctoberVoter!
Don't worry—voting early can still be a family event! The MFG Political Party Planning Committee has put together a Family Voting Day Guide, full of party favors and fun ideas to make your early voting experience memorable!
9: Craft for your candidate with your kids
Get creative with your kids to spread the word about voting for your favorite candidates! Here are some fun ways to make a difference:
Chalk the Vote: Head outside with sidewalk chalk and write “Vote” messages or inspiring reminders for your neighbors to see.
Car Art: Paint your car windows with fun, vote-themed designs and messages.
Coloring Campaign: Download our voter-themed coloring sheets, have your kids color them, and proudly display their artwork in your windows or at work. This includes the Yard Sign design!
DIY Yard Sign: Order one of our yard signing kits or reach out to pick up a sign in the Green Bay, Madison or Milwaukee area.
These little projects not only get the message out but also show your kids the importance of civic engagement.
10: Stick it to ‘em
Women across the country are saving democracy by grabbing a pad of sticky notes and leaving little reminders wherever women may gather - bathroom stalls, the back of tampon boxes, the gym locker room, etc. So join them and on your messages, remind them that when they step into the voting booth - no one knows how they vote. Get your kids involved and have them leave post-its around Target with messages to vote for THEIR future. Women to women and families to families, let’s elect women who will stand up for us - Kamala Harris, Tammy Baldwin and more!
11: Host a Ballot Club
If you're craving a girls' night but also want to stay on top of getting out the vote, we’ve got the perfect solution! Our MFG Political Party Planning Committee Guide will help you throw a fun gathering that’s as impactful as it is social.
Here’s the plan: Invite your friends to listen to a podcast or read an article, then come ready to share something interesting they learned—think of it as a conversation as good as any episode of Pod Save America. And of course, discuss what’s on your ballots together. Our friends at Vote Save America have created the ultimate resource with their Build Your Own Ballot tool, so everyone can be fully prepared. Come for the laughs and snacks, stay to save democracy!
Not into hosting? No worries! Share the Build Your Own Ballot tool with your friends so they’re all set for election day. As an example, for our WI followers, don’t forget there’s a proposed constitutional amendment on the WI ballot that affects voting eligibility—be sure to VOTE NO on that one!
12: Sport your camo or orange for gun safety
Get your venison recipes ready—bow hunting season is already underway, and gun deer hunting kicks off in just one month here in Wisconsin! We believe you can support the Second Amendment and still advocate for common-sense gun reform. So, put on your camo and blaze orange to show that you're pro-hunting and pro-gun safety.
Didn't snag the viral Harris-Walz camo hat? No worries—we've got an awesome camo sweatshirt in the MFG shop backing the Democratic 2024 presidential ticket! Let’s turn "OPE" into "HOPE" for a safer future by electing gun-owning candidates like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Together, we can push for stronger, sensible gun laws to protect our kids and communities.
Action 13: Be an influencer & #tammytok or #tammygram
Forget #MomTok and let’s make #TammyTok (#TammyGram for the Insta stans) go viral in support of everyone’s favorite US Senator - Tammy Baldwin! As we gear up for the election, we want you to channel your own influencer and tell your followers why you’re supporting Tammy Baldwin for reelection! Share your "why" and tag @motherhoodforgood & @momsfortammy and use the hashtag #tammytok! Social media is our public square and your followers trust you, so tell them why it’s important to vote for Tammy!
Not feeling creative? Use our templates (COMING SOON)! Not from Wisconsin? You can still highlight a candidate you’re excited about and why you’re supporting them. Share posts from their socials or create your own!

15: Trick or Treat - Don’t ghost the polls!
While you're out with your little ghouls and goblins filling up on candy, why not hand out something extra sweet? Slip a flyer with a QR code that gives everyone easy access to the resources they need to be ready for Election Day - we have a WI version and one for all states. It’s a fun and spooky way to remind folks not to let the election haunt them—cast their vote and make their voices heard! Don’t ghost on democracy!
16: Caffeinate & canvass
This election season is fueled on hope, change and caffeine! Log in to your favorite coffee shop app and update your name for election season to a message that supports your candidate or voting in general! When your PSL is ready the barista will be shouting “vote” and turning your coffeehouse into a mini-rally! Post what you come up with so we can see all your creativity! While you’re at it, be like Kamala and get yourself something sweet ;) too. Tag us in photos of your lil treats and tag #liltreatstosavedemocracy
Action 17: Self care REQUIRED
You’ve been putting in the work, and we’re almost through October—hopefully dodging any October surprises! But with one week to go, the stress level is HIGH. It’s time to plan some ME time! Take today to recenter on what matters most to you in this election—what you’re fighting for and why. That could mean:
Spending time with your kids in nature or cozying up for a movie
Lighting a candle, turning on the MFG Playlist, and taking deep breaths
Screaming into a pillow 😱
Going for a run or jumping on the Peloton
Whatever you choose, breathe deep and get ready for the final push! You’ve got this! 💪

19: Get out the youth vote with the Wisco Project
Don’t be a regular mom—be a cool mom! On Wednesdays, we wear pink and encourage first-time voters to get to the polls! We’re thrilled to partner with The Wisco Project, who is doing AMAZING work on college campuses across the state to get students registered and ready to vote. You can support them by signing up for one of their events where you’ll be able to say “get in loser, you’re going to the polls!”.
Not able to join an event? You can still be fetch! Are you a mom with kids 18+ and make sure their friends all have a plan to vote. After all, if you're not voting, you're like a Karen who doesn’t know what day it is—totally clueless!
20: Fright Fest
This Halloween, let’s talk about what really scares us - another Trump presidency, Eric Hovde & his mustache, more conservative activist judges on the Supreme Court and Project 2025. Share your real life horrors and post them on social media. Use #ScaryButTrue and tag us. Let’s make sure everyone knows what is at stake, because this election day the scariest thing is staying silent. Don’t let the monsters win - vote for a better future!
21: Phone or text bank
1 in 10 voters are undecided in key battleground states and in the week before the election your voice on the other end of a phone call or text could be the difference that gets them to the polls. You can sign up to phone bank with WisDems on Mobilize. During the calls, you’ll help voters navigate voter registration, find their polling place and get the information they need about the candidates. So put on a cozy outfit, curl up with your phone and help make history one text or call at a time!
