The intersection of parenting and politics.

Motherhood for Good is a community of moms with a purpose-driven playbook. We believe that parenting includes politics and the more informed and engaged we are with our democratic society, the better advocates we can be for our children.

We use social media and relational organizing to share information and provide context on political news, legislation, and important elections that affect your life and community. We organize in areas with key elections and provide fun and accessible ways to get involved.

Raising the next generation includes raising the standards and expectations of our elected officials to support progressive policies that allow all people to thrive.

We advocate for legislation and support candidates that prioritize:

  • Women and their healthcare providers should be trusted to make decisions about their own bodies. We need to restore reproductive freedom to everyone in this country.

  • According to the CDC, in 2020, guns became the leading cause of death for children in this country. We are sick of living in the only nation who deals with this epidemic and being traumatized by relentless mass shootings. We support any and all efforts at the state and federal level to increase gun safety measures including a ban on assault weapons, raising the minimum age of purchasing a firearm, and red flag laws.

  • The United States is the only developed nation without federal paid leave. Studies show that if new moms have enough time after birth to heal and spend time bonding with their baby, they are more likely to return to work and not only be a happier and thriving individual, but contribute to a growing economy.

  • Too many parents are forced out of the workforce before they’re ready due to limited access to affordable child care. We must support policies and funding programs that allow parents of all income levels to access safe, affordable, and reliable care for their children.

  • We believe that public schools and educators are the backbone of our communities and support legislation that supports them. We believe in funding our schools, trusting our teachers, and promoting an inclusive and equitable environment for our children to learn in.

  • People in the LGBTQ+ community are seeing their rights under attack all over this country. Whether it’s legislation to enshrine their rights or protections for them in sports or school, we relentlessly support any and all actions to protect and defend them.

  • We are committed to fighting injustice and against systems that promote it. We support measures that acknowledge systemic racism and make meaningful attempts to address inequality.

  • Voter suppression is a key tactic used to keep certain communities—especially people of color—from having their voices heard. We support all measures, litigation, and legislation to make sure anyone who is eligible to vote can cast their ballot and ensure fair and free elections.

  • Climate Change is a threat to everyone on this planet, no matter which country they live in, party they affiliate with, or leaders they look up to. We must all work together to prioritize policies that address climate action in evidence-based ways so we can leave behind a clean and thriving planet for generations to come.

Our Philosophy

  • Inform

We break down political happenings in an accessible way. We provide information on policy news, critical elections, and candidate profiles.

  • Empower

We give you talking points and confidence to have political conversations in your own circles, and action items to create change.

  • Engage

We provide tools and prompts to encourage you to get involved in races and election initiatives in your own community.

We believe that parenting includes politics and is one of the best ways we can advocate for our children.
