FAQs

  • This program was designed with local candidates in mind who have filed paperwork and will be on the ballot in Spring 2025. Candidates who will run lean, grassroots campaigns but are looking to stand out in this race and connect with others in a similar situation. Think: school board, county board, city council, and other local nonpartisan races.

  • Yes! As long as your campaign is in a state that is holding your election in the spring. We’re based in Wisconsin but the coaching materials and resources should be able to be applied anywhere.

  • All materials were created by Motherhood for Good ‘s founder, Kate Duffy, who will also facilitate group virtual meetings and office hours, and moderate the digital community.

  • The one-time cost is $329 and will be due at the start of the program (Jan. 15). We know many local candidates don’t have big budgets so we’ve tried to keep it as low as possible. The program focuses on organic social media (unpaid) and everything included in our recommendations will utilize a free version of software so you don’t need to spend any additional money if you don’t want to.

Once you sign up, we’ll be in touch to confirm your attendance and send over full program details and terms for you to review prior to payment.

  • While this course is packed with resources to help you build a strong digital presence, it doesn’t cover the nuts and bolts of running for office from a political or procedural standpoint. Specifically, this program does not include:

    • Guidance on how to collect signatures or navigate ballot access requirements.

    • Strategies for managing donations or setting up campaign finances.

    • Insights into campaign-specific regulations or compliance requirements.

    • Information about structuring your campaign team or field operations.

    • Tailored advice for voter outreach strategies beyond the digital space.

For these critical aspects of your campaign, we recommend connecting with your local political party or a campaign-specific training program like Run For Something. Our focus is on helping you master social media and digital strategy, so you can amplify your voice and reach your community effectively.

  • No problem! Calls will be recorded and sent afterwards but all materials and templates will be provided at the start of the program so you can work through and implement as your schedule allows. You’ll also recieve weekly emails with new and different tips, tricks, and timely trends fit for this niche.
