Social Strategy Society Terms and Conditions
The Social Strategy Society Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) establish how the website, www.motherhoodforgood.com/social-strategy-society (the “Website”), may be used and how the Social Strategy Society Pilot Program (the “Program”) works. By continuing to use this Website and by participating in the Program, you accept the Terms without limitation or qualification. Motherhood for Good LLC (d/b/a Social Strategy Society) (herein “Social Strategy Society” we, our, or us) may revise these Terms at any time and you shall be bound by same. If you disagree with any of these Terms, exit the Website now and refrain from further use. Children under age 13 are required to obtain an adult’s permission before submitting information to the Website.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
You authorize us and Stripe to bill you $329 when you register for the Program, and to process payment for same. The cost of Social Strategy Society excludes the cost of software programs, photographs, videos, and design assets. We reserve the right to refuse registration in the Program from any person in any jurisdiction on a case-by-case basis. If we change or cancel your Program registration, we will notify you by email or telephone, assuming this information was provided when you registered. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information related to your participation in the Program and to promptly update your account and other information (such as email address, telephone number, mailing address, and credit card information), as necessary. Prices for Social Strategy Society products and services, excluding the Program, may change without notice.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Program is suitable for candidates running for local office with an election scheduled for spring 2025. Candidates running for statewide or national office may be eligible to participate on a case-by-base basis if Social Strategy Society approves them in advance. If you are a candidate running for statewide or national office and are interested in participating in the Program, please email kate@motherhoodforgood.com for pre-approval before you register. The Program includes information for local office candidates to build a digital presence, specifically:
Strategic messaging guidance;
Platform selection assistance;
Templates;
Customizable content calendar and posting plan;
Access to a private digital community of Program participants (the
“Program Community”);
Two live group virtual evening sessions during the Program Term;
Weekly pre-set virtual office hours with Kate Duffy of Motherhood for Good;
Regular communications from Kate Duffy of Motherhood for Good.
The term of the program is January 15, 2025 through April 30, 2025 (the “Program Term”). Participants must be willing and able to manage their own websites and utilize recommended software (e.g., Canva, Capcut, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Bluesky).
We reserve the right to correct typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the Program, on the Website, and in other our Social Strategy Society products and services, and to update information or cancel registrations, as necessary.
The Program excludes information related to the logistical, procedural, or political aspects of running for office including without limitation:
Guidance about how to collect signatures or navigate ballot access requirements;
Strategies for managing donations or setting up campaign finances;
Insights into campaign-specific regulations or compliance requirements;.
Information about structuring your campaign team or field operations;
Information about voter outreach strategies; and
Customized or individualized logo or branding.
ACCESS TO PRODUCTS AND MEMBER PORTALS
The Program will be available via the Website and the Program Community will be available via a private Facebook group and/or Signal chat, as determined by the Social Strategy Society in its sole discretion. Any breach of these Terms may result in termination of your access to the Program or other Social Strategy Society products and services. Details regarding how we protect, use, and share information you provide to us when using the Website, Program, or Program Community are addressed in our Privacy Policy.
REFUNDS, RENEWAL, AND CANCELLATION
We do not provide refunds for or permit cancelations of the Program or any other Social Strategy Society product or service.
DISCLAIMER
The information contained on this Website, the Program, and other Social Strategy products and services are for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended as, and shall not be understood or construed as campaign, political, legal, financial, tax, medical, health, or any other professional advice. We have done our best to ensure that the information provided on this Website, in the Program, and otherSocial Strategy Society products and services are accurate and provide valuable information, but we cannot guarantee same. Neither Social Strategy Society nor any of its owners or employees shall be held liable or responsible for (a) the outcome of any campaign or election; (b) any errors or omissions on this Website, in the Program, or other Social Strategy Society products and services; (c) for any damage you may suffer as a result of failing to seek competent advice from a professional who is familiar with your situation; or (d) for any content you write, post, share, or otherwise publish. You agree that Social Strategy Society has not made any guarantees including without limitation about the results of taking or not taking any action. You recognize that your ultimate success or failure will be the result of your own efforts, your particular situation, and many other circumstances beyond the control and/or knowledge of Social Strategy Society.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
We own all the media, videos, recordings, content, designs, trademarks, names, titles, logos, blog posts, written text, art, products, photographs, pictures, videos, music, graphics, sounds, templates, calendars, comments, posts, and underlying computer code (the “IP”) on this Website. In addition, the IP may also be protected by copyright and trademark laws and other restrictions, including for example, rights of privacy and publicity. You may not use any of the IP for any purpose including without limitation: publishing, selling, licensing, monetizing, performing, data mining, data harvesting, data extracting, advertising, marketing, or any other purpose, without our prior, written permission.
Third parties’ trademarks may also appear on the Website. You may not use these trademarks without written permission of the respective owners. However, nothing on the Website should be interpreted to mean that we have authority to grant any right or license on a third-party trademark owner’s behalf.
DOWNLOADING CONTENT
We grant you one revocable, nontransferable, nonexclusive license to download templates, content calendar(s), emails, and resource documents (the “Content”) made available by Social Strategy Society pursuant to your use of the Website, participating in the Program, or use of other Social Strategy Society products or services. You may not share, give, or sell any Content to anyone. If you violate this license by giving, providing access to, sharing, or selling the Content to anyone other than another Program participant, we reserve the right to charge you for the additional license(s) and revoke your access to the Content, among other measures as we deem appropriate, in our sole discretion. You must not remove any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property notice on the Content.
COMMUNITY STANDARDS
Please know that your comments, posts, articles, and participation in the Program may be public. Your participation in the virtual sessions hosted by Social Strategy Society is voluntary. Program participants will be able to see comments posted, hear oral statements made, and view materials shared. Think carefully before sharing information on this Website, in virtual sessions hosted by Social Strategy Society, in or to the Program Community, on our social media, or our other public forums. Your comments are your own and we take no responsibility and assume no liability for them, including their accuracy. Comments which are unlawful, harmful, abusive, hateful, offensive, threatening, insulting, intimidating, libelous, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable are not permitted. You shall not solicit other users of the Website, in the Program Community, during any virtual session hosted by Social Strategy Society, on our social media, or our other public forums. You may not Comment anonymously or using a false email address, name, or identity.
CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
You acknowledge that you may receive certain confidential information in connection with the Program and the Program Community (collectively “Confidential Information”). You agree to hold and maintain the Confidential Information in strict confidence, not to disclose the Confidential Information to any third party, and not to use the Confidential Information, except as specifically permitted in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Confidential Information shall not include any information that is in the public domain or becomes publicly known through no fault of the receiving party or is otherwise properly received from a third party without an obligation of confidentiality.
COMMENTS AND POSTS
To the extent the Website and Program allow you to post, comment, review, publish, submit, or upload content (collectively the “Comments”), you grant us a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, and royalty-free license, with the right to use, copy, adapt, modify, distribute, reference, store, cache, license, publicly display, make publicly available, and otherwise exploit the Comments on and through the Website, Program, and third-party distribution channels we select in any form, medium, or technology whether known now or developed later, in whole and part, for any commercial or non-commercial purpose. You agree that you alone are responsible for your Comments. You represent and warrant that you (a) are the exclusive owner of all Comments; (b) have full authority to grant us rights to use the Comments as stated herein; and (c) neither the Comments nor our use of them will infringe, misappropriate, or violate a third party’s copyright, trademark, trade secret, intellectual property right, right of publicity, right of privacy, or other violation of applicable law or regulation. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are specifically and completely reserved by us. Nothing on the Website, in the Program, or in these Terms, expressly or implicitly, by estoppel or otherwise, grants any right or license to use any of our IP or other property or the content or property of a third party.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We, our officers, and directors, or employees, shall not be held liable (a) for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of this Website; (b) for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of this Website; (c) for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Program; and (d) for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of the Program or other Social Strategy Society products and services. You hereby indemnify us, to the fullest extent possible, from and against any and all liability, liens, claims, demands, damages, expenses, fees, including actual attorneys’ fees, costs, fines, penalties, suits, proceedings, actions and causes of action of any and every kind and nature arising or growing out of or in any way connected with your use of the Website, Program, or other Social Strategy Society products and services.

ASSIGNMENT
Your rights and responsibilities under these Terms are personal to you and may not be assigned to any other person or entity.
FORCE MAJEURE
If our performance of these Terms or any obligation under these Terms are prevented, restricted, or interfered with by causes beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure”), then our obligations shall be suspended to the extent we deem reasonably necessary. The term Force Majeure shall include, without limitation, acts of God, pandemic (including without limitation pandemic related to COVID-19), fire, explosion, vandalism, storm or other similar occurrence, orders or acts of military or civil authority, or by national emergencies, insurrections, riots, or wars, or strikes, lock-outs, work stoppages, or other labor disputes, or supplier failures. If because of a Force Majeure, we cannot deliver any products ordered within thirty days of the order date, we may, at our option, cancel the order and refund all payments.
ENTIRE TERMS
These Terms contain the entire agreement of the parties concerning the use of this Website and there are no other promises or conditions in any other agreement whether oral or written. These Terms supersede any prior written or oral agreements between the parties.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable. If a court finds that any provision of these Terms are invalid or unenforceable, but that by limiting such provision it would become valid and enforceable, then such provision shall be deemed to be written, construed, and enforced as so limited.
APPLICABLE LAW
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
